Kweku Yamoah Paintsil, ESQ – Chairman, Governing Council

Kweku Y.Paintsil, Esq is the Founder and Managing Solicitor of Paintsil,Paintsil & Co., [www.paintsilaw.com]) from 1999 to date. He is a Notary Public and currently the Chairman of Governing Council of SDD-UBIDS and Advanced Business College (NAB accredited and affiliated to UEW). He is also a Member of Lawyers’ Associated Worldwide, a head Pastor of the Christ Kingdom Salvation Pentecostal Church and an Occasional Lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School (Post- Graduate Section)

During his student days, Kweku Y.Paintsil occupied various positions as a student leader, including being elected as the President of the National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) in the 1986/87 academic year. It was during his administration that he spear-headed the setting up of the NUGS Womens’ Commission, which has stood the test of time and survived to date. Since being called to the Ghana Bar in April 1990, he has had the great fortune of practicing law at various times under the tutelage of two of the best minds that the legal fraternity has produced in Ghana, namely, the Rt. Hon. Peter Ala Adjetey, SAG and His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Kweku Y. Paintsil branched out in 1999 to set up his own law practice Paintsil, Paintsil & Co, a firm of Legal Practitioners Notaries Public and Consultants, of which he is the Managing Solicitor. He has a strong track record in litigation practice with a considerable number of cases he has conducted at all levels of the Court system reported in both the Ghana Law Reports and the Supreme Court of Ghana Law Reports.

Kweku Y. Paintsil offers consultancy services as external solicitor to a number of financial institutions, both bank and non-bank financial institutions. He also has some considerable experience in media law and acts as external solicitor for some leading newspapers in Ghana. Mr. Paintsil also consults widely for non-governmental organizations (NGOs). He has been a guest lecturer at the University of Ghana Business School (post-graduate section) for the past five years or more.

Mr. Paintsil has participated in a number of conferences as a speaker, including the Harvard Business School African Week Business Seminar as well as the University of Ghana Business Week Seminar. He has also acted as rapporteur for the World Bank in connection with seminar on governance issues.

Mr. Paintsil combines his heavy schedule with being the Head Pastor of the Christ Kingdom Salvation Pentecostal Church, which presently has seven branches with its headquarters at Madina, Accra.
Mr. Paintsil prides himself in being known as a man of one wife and five children.
