Priscilla Khadi Vawurah – Governing Council Member, Students Representative Council (SRC) President, 2021/2022 Academic year

Priscilla Khadi Vawurah is the first female president of the SDD UBIDS SRC and the first students representative at the University governing Council. She is a purpose-driven feminist, advocate, and philanthropist. She’s among the few advocates whose advocacy does not discriminate, contradict nor suppress the opposite sex. As a social and development advocate, her works and benevolence have impacts on both students and society at large.

A level 300 student at the then University for Development Studies (UDS), Wa campus now the Simon Diedong University of Business and Integrated Development pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Social and Development Administration.

Diploma in Integrated Community Development (September 2017 – July 2019) at the University for Development Studies (UDS).

West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) (September 2010 – January 2013). General Arts (Literature in English, History, Islamic Religious Studies, Economics) at the Northern School of Business – Tamale, Ghana

Priscilla Khadi Vawuarh has a wide range of work and leadership experience. She is an advocate for Network for Young Women Empowerment in Wa, Ghana since 2017 till date. She joined Plan International Ghana in March 2017, where she is currently a Goodwill Ambassador. As a Social Entrepreneur, She is the head Artist/Creative Director, Khadi Signature Ghana. In October 2020, she became the Head of Organizing Committee, the Leader of the Female Caucus, and the Minority Chief Whip for SDD UBIDS Youth Parliament.

Priscilla Khadi Vawurah is known for her volunteerism spirit. In April 2020, she undertook a Covid-19 Awareness Campaign in Kong, Sawla-Tuna-Kalba District. In February 2021, she also Partnered with Hope Salvation to train and empower disabled girls in make-up artistry in Wa, Upper West Region.

In September 2020, Khadi was recognized as the Best Student Make-up Artist of the Year, Northern Tertiary Awards – Tamale. In August 2021 at the Youth Parliament Awards & Dinner Ceremony – she was awarded the Best Student Politician.
