The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FICT) is one of the newest Faculties/Schools at the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and & Integrate Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS, in short UBIDS), which was established by the Act of Parliament (Act 1001) in 2019; out of the University of Development Studies (UDS). The Faculty started with the barest minimum of resources – The Foundation Dean, Professor George E.M. Ditsa, a Senior Administrative Assistant, Mr. Mumuni Abdul Rahim and a driver. Read more....

Departments FIDS
Currently, FIDS is composed of four departments namely, Department of Communication Studies (DECS), Department of Development Studies (DDS), Department of Environment and Resource Studies (DERS) and Department of African and Endogenous Studies (DAES). The faculty runs attractive programmes for award of terminal and master’s degrees, first degrees and diplomas in range of disciplines with an orientation towards development.
The Faculty currently has two Academic Departments – Department of Computer Science and Department of Informatics – offering the following Academic Programs:
