Introduction
The Department of Real Estate is one of three departments created in the 2021/2022 academic year; having emerged from the former Department of Real Estate and Land Management. The Department offers a four-year Bachelor of Science programme in Real Estate and a two-year Diploma programme in Estate Agency. The Real Estate programme is the maiden programme of the former Department, having been running for the past ten years. The Real Estate Programme is highly sought-after because it trains professionals to effectively engage in the real estate sector in the country. Graduates of the programme are involved in private real estate development, the banking sector, estate management, facilities management and other related services. The Department is endowed with a highly skilled team of young lecturers who are motivated by the desire to contribute to growing the real estate sector for a larger beneficial impact on the economy. In furtherance of this goal, the Department continues to partner with professional bodies such as the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) and the Real Estate Professional Association (GREPA) in the training of students. It is noteworthy that the lecturers are members of these and other professional institutions such as the African Real Estate Society (AfRES). The Department invites academics and professionals to join it in training the real estate professionals of tomorrow. More importantly, the Department invites all persons desirous of an exciting study experience in a truly professional programme that blends classroom and practical field training to join the Department of Real Estate, Faculty of Planning and Land Management, SDD-UBIDS.

Meet Our Faculty
Dr. Elvis Attakora-Amaniampong (HoD)
Elvis Attakora-Amaniampong is a senior lecturer and currently the head of Department of Real Estate in the Faculty of Planning and Land Management of the SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies in Wa, Ghana. Elvis holds BA Geography and Resource Development from the University of Ghana. He further graduated from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH, Stockholm-Sweden) with two MSc in Spatial Planning and Real Estate Management.
Dr. Samson Aziabah
Dr. Aziabah is a Lecturer and Faculty Exam Officer in the Department of Real Estate, SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies. . Dr. Aziabah is trained in the supervision of doctoral candidates. He also has professional training in developing social housing projects, housing development strategies and Land Management and informal settlement regularization.
Mr. Oliver Tannor
Mr. Oliver Tannor Lecturer in the Department of Real Estate, SD Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies. Oliver is a real estate analyst and does a lot of consultancy in development, finance feasibility and market analysis involving real estate. He is currently a trainee under the Valuation and Estate Surveying Division of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors hoping to attain his professional status by the end of 2022.
