About FPPG

The Faculty of Public Policy and Governance (FPPG) was created in 2019 with a mandate to provide cutting-edge graduate and undergraduate training in public policy and governance. We provide engaging and innovative teaching and learning, which instils an ethos of responsible leadership and citizenship. We produce and disseminate applied, highly relevant research that makes a tangible difference to national development and beyond.

The faculty has four academic departments and one research and development centre. These are the Department of Governance and Development Management, the Department of Public Policy and Management, Organizational Studies and Development, Local Governance and City Management, and the Centre for Migration and Security Studies. These departments are staffed with world-class academics and administrators to run degree and diploma programmes.

Our vision is to promote socio-economic development through cutting-edge interdisciplinary teaching and research that produces talented, versatile, job-ready graduates within a distinctive student community that has the knowledge and skills to make a significant contribution to the national development agenda and beyond.
