Prof. John-Eudes Andivi Bakang – Governing Council Member, NCTE Representative

Prof John-Eudes Andivi Bakang is an Associate Professor of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology in the Department of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and Extension (DAEAE); Faculty of Agriculture in the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Kumasi, with considerable experience in curriculum development and teaching, research and extension in Ghana.

John-Eudes Andivi Bakang, an Agricultural Extension Specialist and Rural Sociologist, was employed in KNUST as a lecturer in Agricultural Extension in October 1991. He was promoted to the rank of Senior Lecturer in 2001, and Associate Professor in 2015.

While in KNUST, Prof Bakang served at various times as Senior Tutor and Hall Master of Independence Hall, Head of the Department of Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness and Extension; Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Academic Board representative on the Executive Committee, and on several boards and committees of the university. He has also provided local and international consultancy services, short-term technical assignments and research on a wide range of socio-economic issues in Agriculture and Rural Development, Natural Resource Management and Human Resource Development (Training) with accompanying technical reports either alone or in association with others. He has over thirty (30) publications in peer-reviewed journals to his credit.
