The West-African Centre for Sustainable Rural Transformation (WAC-SRT), in collaboration with the Faculty of Planning and Land Management (FPLM), the Faculty of Public Policy and Governance (FPPG), and the Centre for Diversity and Social Inclusion (CGDSI), invites qualified and interested candidates to apply for admission into its Postgraduate Certificate Programmes for the 2025 academic session.

Programmes on offer are:

  1. Postgraduate Certificate in Gender and Sustainable Development
  2. Postgraduate Certificate in Integrated Spatial Planning

Entry Requirements

  1. Postgraduate Certificate in Gender and Sustainable DevelopmentTo be admitted into the Postgraduate Certificate in Gender and Development Programme, applicants may be early career- and middle management professionals in public and private sectors who desire to acquire knowledge and skills to enhance their work and lead change towards gender equality and sustainable development. For other applicants who intend to use the WASSCE/’O’ level route, applicants must have five (5) passes including English Language and Mathematics in West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or West African Examination Council Ordinary Level Certificate (‘O’ Level Certificate) or their equivalent.
  2. Postgraduate Certificate in Integrated Spatial PlanningTo be admitted into the Postgraduate Certificate in Integrated Spatial Planning programme applicants may be (development) planning practitioners and professionals who desire to acquire the tools, knowledge, and skills needed to address the spatial and developmental challenges posed by urbanization to enhance their work in Ghana and beyond. For other applicants who intend to use the WASSCE/’O’ level route, applicants must have five (5) passes including English Language and Mathematics in West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) or West African Examination Council Ordinary Level Certificate (‘O’ Level Certificate) or their equivalent.

Mode of Delivery: Combination of face-to-face and Online

Schedule: Weekends (Saturday & Sunday) and evenings [April-June 2025]

Format: Interactive facilitation with practical assignments, incorporating adult learning principles

All applicants for the 2024/2025 Academic Year admissions are required to use the admissions.ubids.edu.gh. The procedure for the online application process is as follows:

  1. Make a payment of GH205.00 (Two Hundred and Five Ghana cedis) for the UBIDS E-Voucher at any Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB), Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Stanbic Bank, Fidelity Bank or Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) branches throughout the country or through mobile money service by dialing *887*9# To All Networks.
  2. The E-Voucher contains the PIN and Serial Number required to complete the online form.

Visit the UBIDS online Admissions Portal at admissions.ubids.edu.gh  with a MasterCard or Visa to pay GH205 (Two Hundred and Five Ghana cedis) online for your chosen Programme.

Print the advice slip for future reference.

  1. Access the online form by visiting our online admissions portal at admissions.ubids.edu.gh soon after payment.
    1. In completing the online form, students will be required to upload their most recent passport-size photographs and relevant certificates
    2. A completed form is not considered until it is submitted.
    3. Applicants are advised to check thoroughly all details entered before finally submitting their online applications. A form, once submitted, can only be viewed, but cannot be edited.
