The Vice-Chancellor of the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS), Prof. Emmanuel K. Derbile, paid a courtesy call on the new Regional Minister of the Upper West Region, Mr. Stephane Yakubu, on Monday, May 6, 2024.

During the meeting, the two leaders engaged in fruitful discussions on the progress and development of the university and the region. Prof. Derbile emphasized the importance of collaboration between the university and the Regional Coordinating Council (RCC) and pledged the university’s support for the RCC’s initiatives.

The Regional Minister, Mr. Yakubu, commended the university’s efforts and encouraged the Management to focus on practical application and innovation in its training programs. He also suggested that the University should develop programs that address the region’s specific challenges and attract foreign students to raise revenue for infrastructure development.

The Vice-Chancellor and his team, including the Ag. Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Osumanu I. Kanton, the Registrar, Mr. Job Asante, Director of Finance, Mr. Suglo Abdulai, and Director of University Relations, Mr. Fidelis Z. Tang, were present at the meeting.
