The University has four halls of residence: Cardinal Dery Hall, Jubilee Hall, Royal Hall, and Limann Hall. Together, these halls can accommodate about 620 students, which represents roughly 12.4% of the total student population. As a result, the majority of students, about 87.6%, live off campus. These non-resident students are housed mainly in privately built hostels and other residential facilities located across the Wa Municipality.

3.0 MANWIE HOSTEL

 Type of Building and Location: Three storey building and located in Bamahu town along the Yasin Hospital Road

Cooking area: The balconies are used for cooking but centralised kitchens are located on each floor but are yet to be completed

General Observations: The windows have been glassed and the rooms are secured with foreign (“China”) doors. The rooms floors are tiled. There is an emergency exit, outside light, security personnel. There is no parameter wall and access roads are moderate.

4.0 CHELSEA HOSTEL

Type of Building and Location: A three-storey building located in Bamahu behind the Bamahu central mosque.

5.0 McCARTHY HOSTEL

 Type of Building and Location: McCarthy is located in central Bamahu, adjacent Watanga junction. The property is a compound house rounded by over 10 rooms all opening outside to the courtyard and a three-storey building in the middle of the compound, overseeing the entire property.

6.0 MILLAR HOSTEL

Type of Building and Location: The property is a two-storey building with opened verandahs without burglar proof located in Bamahu behind the total fuel station.
