The University invites applications from suitably qualified persons to fill the positions of Hall Masters
A person seeking an appointment as a Hall Master must:

i. Be a Professor/Associate Professor/Senior Lecturer;
ii. Show leadership, high-quality sound judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, precision, and
professionalism in the discharge of his or her duties;
iii. Show evidence of capacity for continuous research and dissemination of knowledge in his or her
field through technology transfer and publications;

Functions as Hall Master
The successful candidate for the position of Hall Master shall be expected to perform the following
functions:
1. He/she shall assist the Dean of Students in the execution of his mandate especially, in matters
relating to students’ accommodation;
2. He/she shall in consultation with the Residence Committee see to the allocation of accommodation
to students on merit;
3. He/she shall in consultation with the Residence Committee liaise with owners of private hostels in
advancing the welfare of students in their quest for suitable and conducive accommodation;
4. He/she shall render services on Guidance and Counseling to students’ residents at the Halls;
5. Any other duties assigned by the Dean of Students and or the Vice-Chancellor.
