Three newly trained medical doctors; Dr. Dzali Kamyap Lauriane Maeva, Dr. John Chukwuebuka Ota, and Dr. Osei-Agyemang Elmer, paid a courtesy call on the Vice-Chancellor of SDD-UBIDS, Professor Emmanuel Kanchebe Derbile, on April 7, 2025 at the Office of the Vice-Chancellor. The doctors were was led by Mr. Remey Nyewieh, the Hospital Administrator. Ms. Jennifer Adjeiwere an Administrative Assistant at the Hospital was also present. The Registrar, Mr. Job Asante joined the Vice-Chancellor in receiving the guests.
In his opening remarks, the Vice-Chancellor congratulated the doctors on the successful completion of their medical training. He noted that he played a role in facilitating the process to secure medical personnel for the University Hospital and had also assigned others to support the recruitment efforts.
Professor Derbile further stated that the University Hospital holds great potential for the future with the plan for the introduction of medical, health sciences, and other health-related academic programmes.
The doctors were encouraged to begin the necessary documentation processes to enable the Vice-Chancellor and University Management to formalise their engagement and support their integration into the University community.
The three, showed great appreciation for the Vice-Chancellor’s words of encouragement and the warm reception which indicated they did not regret in choosing to work with the University.
