We are proud to announce that the Needs Assessment Workshop by E4Impact at SDD -UBIDS was a Success.
On June 26, 2025, the Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS) proudly welcomed Mr. Bright Kugblenu-Akaba, a consultant from the E4Impact Foundation, for a high-level workshop and needs assessment meeting with the E4Impact-UBIDS project team including Professor Stanley Kojo Dary, Professor Felicia Naatu, Mr. Nicholas Tanye, Professor Joseph Nyeadi, Dr. Theophile Nasse, Dr. Gordon Dugle, and Dr. Muftawu Dzang.
Also in attendance were prominent university officials: the Registrar, Mr. Job Asante; the Director of Research, Innovation and Consultancy, Professor Frederick Dayour; the Director of University Relations, Fidelis Tang Zimberi; and the Dean of the School of Business, Professor John Akpareb together with Madam Grace Dassah and Mr Evans K Sanwine.
This important workshop formed part of a broader Needs Assessment initiative aimed at evaluating and refining the university’s entrepreneurship programmes. The goal is to design academic and entrepreneurial training tailored to the unique socio-economic dynamics of the Upper West Region and neighbouring areas in northern Ghana.
The workshop follows SDD-UBIDS’s opportune selection as one of only six universities in Ghana to implement the European Union-funded Ghana Pact for Skills under the Entrepreneurship Stream, coordinated by the E4Impact Foundation. This selection marks a significant milestone, offering the university an opportunity to align its academic priorities with global entrepreneurship goals and drive innovation through green and digital enterprise incubation.
Successfully completing this phase of the project reflects the university’s unwavering commitment to excellence, strategic leadership, and inclusive development. It further cements SDD-UBIDS’s efforts to position itself as a transformative hub for entrepreneurship education and a catalyst for socio-economic empowerment in northern Ghana and beyond.
