The University Health Services marked World Patient Safety Day on 17 September 2026 under the theme “Safe care for noncommunicable diseases.” Conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, asthma, sickle cell disease and cancer need years of care, and most of the harm that can happen along the way is preventable when patients and health workers work together. We encourage students, staff and families to check their blood pressure, weight and blood sugar at the UBIDS Medical Centre, ask about their medicines, bring all their medicines to every visit, buy only from licensed sources and keep their follow-up visits. The Medical Centre is open from 8am to 5pm. Call 0206001495 or 0596084904, or WhatsApp 0206891626.
