The Simon Diedong Dombo University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (SDD-UBIDS), a public Tertiary Education Institution established by an Act of Parliament SDD-UBIDS Act 2019 (Act 1001), located in the Upper West Regional capital, Wa, Ghana, invites applications from qualified persons for appointment as Professors, Associate Professors, Senior Lecturers and Assistant Lecturers in the underlisted Faculties and Schools:
- Faculty of Integrated Development Studies.
AREAS OF SPECIALISATION REQUIRED
Communication/Development Communication, Development Policy, Development Studies, African Studies, English Language, Environment and Dynamic Modelling, and Theatre Studies.
2. School of Business
AREAS OF SPECIALISATION REQUIRED
Accounting, Finance, Marketing, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, Health Services Management, Procurement and Supply Chain Management, Management Information Systems, Business Project Management, Tourism and Hospitality Management.
3. Faculty of Public Policy and Governance
AREAS OF SPECIALISATION REQUIRED
Public Administration and Local Governance and City Management, Organizational Management, Development Management, Organisational Development, Corporate Governance, International Relations, Statistics and Population, Social Policy and Management, Social Policy Planning, Public Policy and Administration, Local Economic Development and Organisational Studies.
4. Faculty of Planning and Land Management
AREAS OF SPECIALISATION REQUIRED
Urban and Regional Planning with first degree in Planning/Urban Planning, Urban Management/Urban Studies/Urban Geography, Sustainable Community Development, Project Management, Social Work, Infrastructure Planning/Engineering with first degree in Planning or Civil Engineering, Facilities Management, Real Estate Finance/Investment, Monitoring and Evaluation with first degree in Planning, Geo-Information and Land Management and Construction Technology.
5. Faculty of Information and Communication Technology
AREAS OF SPECIALISATION REQUIRED
Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering, Informatics and Software Engineering.
6. School of Education and Life-Long Learning
AREA OF SPECIALISATION REQUIRED
Educational Policy Analysis, Accounting Education, Social Science Education, Measurement and Evaluation, French, Educational Planning, Educational Management and Administration, Curriculum Studies in Education, Educational Foundations and Basic Education, Dagaare, Mathematics and/ or Statistics.
7. Faculty of Social Science and Arts
AREAS OF SPECIALISATION REQUIRED
Applied Statistic, Economics, English Language, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), History and Diaspora Studies, French and Political Science.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
i. PROFESSORS
For appointment to the grade of a Professor, applicant must have a PhD in the area of expertise from a recognised University and must have served as Associate Professor or on an analogous grade in a recorgnised institution for a minimum of THREE years. Applicants must have a minimum of twenty-one (21) publications in high-impact journals
ii. ASSOCIATE PROFESSORS
For appointment to the grade of a Professor, applicant must have a PhD in the area of expertise from a recognised University and must have served as Senior Lecturer or on an analogous grade in an institution for a minimum of FOUR years. Applicants must have a minimum of ten (10) publications in high-impact journals
iii. SENIOR LECTURERS
For appointment to the grade of Senior Lecturer, applicant must have a PhD in the area of expertise from a recognised University and must have served as Lecturer or on an analogous grade in a recorgnised institution for a minimum of THREE years. Applicants must have a minimum of six (6) publications in high-impact journals
iv. LECTURERS
For appointment to the grade of Lecturer, applicant must have a PhD in the area of expertise from a recognised University. Additionally, applicants must possess the relevant teaching, research or other experience relevant to this position.
v. ASSISTANT LECTURERS
For appointment to the grade of Assistant Lecturer, applicant must possess a Research Master’s Degree in the area of expertise from a recognised University. Additionally, applicants must possess the relevant teaching, research or other experience relevant to this position.
