The Vice-Chancellor of SDD-UBIDS, Professor Emmanuel Kanchebe Derbile (first from left), met with the Upper West Regional Fire Commander, ACFO II Isaac Kofi Obosu (second from left), on 13 March 2025, to strengthen fire service operations on campus. Discussions centred on expanding office space, improving drill schedules, and addressing infrastructure needs. Professor Derbile assured the team of the University’s Management commitment to enhancing fire service facilities and integrating a dedicated fire station into the University’s long-term master plan. The Regional Fire Commander pledged continued support, while both parties agreed to maintain an open dialogue for improved campus safety. The meeting concluded with a mutual commitment to collaboration and operational efficiency.
