THE POSITION-PRINCIPAL, UBIDS OPEN CAMPUS
The Principal is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for providing leadership to the UBIDS Open Campus. He or she will work closely with the Deans of Faculties/Schools and their Coordinators in providing a coordinated administrative platform for rolling out and managing evening, distance, sandwich, virtual/online, and weekend programmes in the University.
THE PERSON
Candidates seeking appointment as Principal must be:
i. An internationally acclaimed scholar of Professorial Status;
ii. A PhD holder in a relevant field;
iii. Show leadership, high-quality judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, and professionalism in the discharge of his or her duties;
iv. An individual of stature and integrity with excellent communication and interpersonal skills and capacity to manage and control crises;
v. A visionary, business-oriented, and able to establish rapport between industry and the University; and
vi. Of sober and mature character and drive for sound and impartial judgment.
