Mr. Michael Mawinla Manote, Best Graduating Student in Land Management (BSc Land Management, 2024/2025 Academic Year), receives the Surveyor John Tia Bugri Academic Excellence Award from Surv. Emmanuel Kofi Cobbold (FGhIS) during the Ghana Institution of Surveyors’ Elevation to the Class of Fellows and Induction of Newly Admitted Members ceremony held on 25 February 2026.

Ms. Felicity Teng-Viel, Best Graduating Student in Real Estate (BSc Real Estate, 2024/2025 Academic Year), receives the Surveyor Samuel Ofori-Ofei Academic Excellence Award from Surv. Emmanuel Kofi Cobbold (FGhIS) during the Ghana Institution of Surveyors’ Elevation to the Class of Fellows and Induction of Newly Admitted Members ceremony held on 25 February 2026.

The Ghana Institution of Surveyors conferred awards on its members who excelled in their respective disciplines while in school on 25 February 2026, during its ceremony themed: Elevation to the Class of Fellows and Induction of Newly Admitted Members. As part of its ongoing commitment to uphold and advance high professional standards, the institution annually honours outstanding students from its accredited institutions.

During the ceremony, Mr. Michael Mawinla Manote and Ms. Felicity Teng-Viel were honoured for their outstanding academic performance during the 2024/2025 academic year at the University of Business and Integrated Development Studies (UBIDS). Mr. Manote received the Surveyor  John Tia Bugri Academic Excellence Award as the Best Graduating Student in Land Management (BSc Land Management), whilst Ms. Teng-Viel, received the Surveyor Samuel Ofori-Ofei Academic Excellence Award as the Best Graduating Student in Real Estate (BSc Real Estate).

These awards underscore the strong academic foundation that UBIDS provides, particularly within its programmes in land administration, real estate, and development studies. The Faculty of Planning and Land Management, under which both awardees studied, continues to produce graduates of a calibre that commands recognition at the highest levels of Ghana’s professional bodies.

The honor bestowed on the two UBIDS alumni further underscores the University’s vision for producing graduates who excel both academically and in their chosen professions.
