Qualification and Experience:
Candidates MUST have a PhD in the relevant discipline and a Research Master’s Degree (MPhil/M.Sc.), plus a good first degree, with relevant post-qualification experience, depending on the position being applied for.
Candidates may indicate in their application letters multiple disciplinary areas (not more than two) for which they have qualification and expertise for teaching, research and grantmanship.
Duties and Responsibilities:
i. Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
ii. Conduct research and publish in reputable journals.
iii. Supervise student research projects and theses.
iv. Participate in curriculum development and academic administration.
v. Engage in community service and outreach activities.
vi. Promote grantmanship, including writing of research/grant proposals
General Conditions
For teaching staff:
i. Expertise and experience in grantsmanship will be an added advantage.
ii. Expertise and experience in Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be an added advantage.
iii. Priority will be given to persons who are already engaged with the University and have knowledge of the operations of the University; and
iv. Candidates must be willing and ready for long-term commitment to the University
